And I will be the first to admit that it does (can) take longer to build a (large) deck than a complete house . . depending, in part, how many people you have helping !!
However, congratulations to Ros & Michael for winning the race to completion . . . of both house and blog !
Anyway, enough of that and, without making any excuses, I will simply report on progress over the last couple of weeks since work got started again.
When the sun finally came out and I could get outside more top boards were added in late March . . .This included some extra detail work covering up a drain cover and including a small section that can be removed, if necessary, to access the drain. You can't really see that in this photo; I'll get closer in for the next drain.
Then on April 1st . . . the original target for completion I will admit . . . further progress was made, including covering another drain cover and some rebating work to allow for the gas pipe that runs round the house to the gas fire in the lounge.
So here we are with just one more drain cover to go before the final uninterrupted run to the end for the full length board section . . . hopefully with a good spell of weather this should be completed within the month, although I hesitate to make any promises, of course !
